Resting in the Spaces Between

Because burning out is way less fun than a good nap.

For the mothers who carry it all.

Sometimes it takes getting sick to finally cancel the plans.
To crawl back into bed.
To say no.
To rest.

Isn’t that something?
That burnout becomes the permission slip we’ve been waiting for.
That throbbing headache and suffocating overwhelm are what finally make it okay to slow down.

But what if we didn’t wait for the unraveling?
What if we noticed the whispers in our body—the tightness, the sighs, the ache behind the eyes—
and listened before the roar?

What if rest wasn’t something to earn, but something we deserve?
A soft place to land, not a last resort.
A rhythm we’re allowed to move to, simply because we’re human—and tired.

Because the truth is:
You’re not lazy. You’re not selfish.
The world won’t stop if you slow down.
The laundry will wait. The inbox will survive.
The kids? Well, you’ll probably still have to feed them.
Everything won’t fall apart—
but you might, if you don’t pause.

And rest?
It’s not quitting.
It’s gathering.
It’s tending to the roots so you can bloom again.

You bloom better when you’re rested.
You show up with more love, more patience, more clarity, more you—when you’re nurtured.
When you’re whole.
When you’ve chosen yourself before the breaking point.

Let that be enough.

With fluffy slippers,
a full heart,
and a slightly magical cup of chai tea.
